MAITREYA - THE FUTURE BUDDHA

Goutam Buddha prophesied the advent of future Buddha named as Maitreya. Maitreya has different names in different languages for instance, Metteyya in Pali, Milefo in Chinese, Miroku in Japanese, Maidari in Mongolian etc. Maitreya is derived from the Sanskrit word maitri which means friendliness. In Buddhist tradition he will appear on earth to preach anew the dharma when his teachings have completely decayed.

It is mentioned in Chakkavatti Sinhnad Suttanta D. III, 76 that; "There will arise in the world a Buddha named Maitreya, a holy one, a supreme one, an enlightened one, endowed with wisdom in conduct, auspicious and knowing the universe. What he has realised by his own supernatural knowledge he will publish to this universe. He will preach his religion, glorious in its origin, glorious at its climax, glorious at the goal, in the spirit and the letter. He will proclaim a religious life wholly perfect and thoroughly pure. He will keep up the society of monks numbering many thousands, even as now I keep up a society of monks numbering many hundreds." According to the Gospel of Buddha by Carus pg. 217 and 218 (From Ceylon sources); Ananda who was cousin and first disciple of Buddha said to the blessed one, ‘Who shall teach us when thou art gone? And the blessed one replied, 'I am not the first Buddha who came upon the earth nor shall I be the last. In due time another Buddha will arise who will be the World Teacher, an incomparable leader of men, a master of angels and mortals. He will reveal to you the same eternal truths, which I have taught you. He will proclaim a religious life, wholly perfect and pure such as I now proclaim.’

It is mentioned in Sacred Books of the East, volume 11, pg. 36 Maha-Parinibbana Sutta chapter 2 verse 32 that: ‘I have preached the truth without making any distinction between exoteric and esoteric doctrine, for in respect of truths, Ananda, the Tathagata (teacher) has no such thing as the closed fist, who keeps something back.’

According to Sacred Books of the East volume 11 pg. 97 Maha-Parinibbana Sutta Chapter 5 verse 36: ‘Then the blessed one addressed the brethren, ‘Whosoever brethren have been Arahat Buddhas through the long ages of the past, they were servitors just as devoted to those blessed ones as Ananda has been to me. And whosoever brethren shall be the Arahat-Buddhas of the future, there shall be servitors as devoted to those blessed ones as Ananda has been to me’.’

It is reported in Gospel of Buddha by Carus pg. 214 that; ‘The blessed one said, ‘there are two occasions on which a Tathagata’ appearance becomes clear and exceedingly bright. In the night Ananda, in which a Tathagata attains to the supreme and perfect insight, and in the night in which he passes finally away in that ultra passing which leaves nothing whatever of his earthly existence to remain.’’

Following are the six criteria for identifying a Buddha.

1. A Buddha attains supreme and perfect insight at night-time.
2. On the occasion of his complete enlightenment he looks exceedingly bright.
3. A Buddha dies a natural death.
4. He dies at night-time.
5. He looks exceedingly bright before his death and
6. After his death a Buddha ceases to exist on earth.

Buddha was born to Suddhodana the chief of Shakya nation and queen Maya in Lumbini Nepal. According to ‘Goutama Buddha - Wikiquote’, the date of birth of Buddha was 8 April 624 BCE. Adding 3 leap days of 400, 800 and 1200 CE, the date of birth will be 11 April 624 BCE which was Friday as confirmed by ‘Ameen Calendar’ (Time immemorial to Infinity).

DATE OF BIRTH : 11 / 04 / 624 BCE : FRIDAY

His early life was one of luxury and comfort. At the age of 16, he married princess Yashodhara who would eventually bear him a son (Rahula) and died after 7 days. Later his stepmother Mahapajapati raised him. The prince had a profound experience when he first observed the suffering of the world while on chariot rides outside the palace. He resolved then to renounce his wealth as well as family and live the life of an ascetic. He practiced meditation under the Bodhi tree (Ficus Religiosa) and received enlightenment at the age of 39 years. During the remaining years, he spread the message of Dhamma (dharma).

At the age of 80 Buddha became ill, suddenly after he ate a special delicacy ‘sukaramaddava’ prepared by his generous host Cunda Kammaraputta. The large size of meal and his already troubled digestive tract caused the second attack of mesenteric infraction and Buddha collapsed within 15 to 18 hours at Kushinara (Kushinagar). Buddha died on 15 February 544 BCE (Gautama Buddha - Wikiquote). Adding 3 leap days of 400, 800 and 1200 CE, the date of death will be Wednesday 18 February 544 BCE (Thursday after sunset).

DATE OF DEATH : 18 / 02 / 544 BCE : WEDNESDAY

During lifetime Buddha prophesied that;

‘WHEN THE DISPENSATION OF BUDDHA IS 5000 YEARS OLD, THE RELICS NOT RECEIVING REVERENCE AND HONOUR WILL GO TO PLACES WHERE THEY CAN RECEIVE THEM. THIS SARIPUTTA IS CALLED THE DISAPPEARANCE OF RELICS’ - (SURANGAMA SUTRA)

The dharma would last for 5000 years which are divided into five periods of 1000 years. After the fifth period, the dharma would disappear. Later, Buddha contest that, because he has allowed women to participate in the fullness of Buddhist life, he would halve the time until the dharma’s expiration from five periods of one thousand years to five periods of five hundred years. Accordingly, Dharma will disappear in 2500 years. The five periods from the death of Buddha on 18/02/544 BCE are: 544 - 500 = 44, 44 - 500 = 455, 455 + 500 = 955, 955 + 500 = 1455, 1455 + 500 = 1955. The year that completes 2500 years from the death of Buddha was 1955 CE. After this year, the dharma was supposed to lost according to prophesy. Indeed dharma is no longer existing.

The most significant prophecy of Buddha was the one that gives the date of birth of Maitreya;

MAITREYA WILL BE MANIFESTED

WHEN THE DISPENSATION OF BUDDHA IS 5000 YEARS OLD

According to the prophecy of Buddha, dispensation of body starts from the date of his demise and Maitreya will born in 2500 years. Since Buddha died on 18 February 544 BCE, subtract 544 from 2500 to get 1955. Consequently, Maitreya had to born around 1955 CE. A child normally takes about 9 months to born, Maitreya could have conceived in the year 1954 CE. Since Buddha died on 18 February 544 BCE, Maitreya might have conceived on 18 February 1954 CE (Thursday) and born after 9 months or 39 weeks around 18 November 1954 CE (Buddha too was conceived before 9 months or 39 weeks on Thursday 18 July 625 BCE). The birth of Maitreya before the completion of 2500 years on 17 February 1955 CE from the dispensation of Buddha bears testimony with the prophesy.

DHARMA IS DEAD AND MAITREYA HAS BORN IN 2500 YEARS

Buddha addressed Hindus in terminology that they could relate Maitreya to the Kalki avatar who is expected to appear at the end of Kali age and beginning of Krita age. The date of appearance of Maitreya can be found out by estimating the date of completion of Kali age.

Mankind has progressed in all walks of life yet, failed to find the dates of important events took place in the previous centuries. The exact dates could not be found due to nihility of calendars. Even the internet fails to exhibit till date.

After a decade of research, formulated an eternal solar calendar which shows calendars from 01/01/0001 CE to eternity as well as 01/01/0001 BCE to Time Immemorial and named it as ‘AMEEN CALENDAR’. As a corollary, Lunisolar Calendar named as ‘SHAHWAR CALENDAR’ is formulated from the date of existence of two birds (Atma and Jeeva) on Friday 10/01/7637BH // 15th February 6788 BCE to Doomsday. Both calendars found applications in finding the exact solar and lunar dates of important events including the dates of ten avatars.

Before the existence of Atma and Jeeva, subtler beings (genies) existed since Friday 9 September 8729 BCE // 10/01/9637 BH. Of late, it is established that mankind will exist till Doomsday on Friday 15 March 2915 CE // 10/01/2364 AH. The duration between Atman as well as Jeeva and Doomsday will be 10,000 lunar years // 9702 1day // 35,43,611 days. And between subtler beings and Doomsday will be 12,000 lunar years // 11,642 solar years, 6 months and 6 days // 42,52,339 days. The date of appearance of Maitreya can be found out by studying puranas and confirmed by the date of birth of Shri Rama, Shri Krishna as well as Buddha and duration between them.

The finding of dates of Yugas mentioned in puranas had remained a mystery since thousands of years. In recent times, the dates and duration of all yugas are successfully found out by incorporating the regulations laid down in puranas. For instance, the Yugas have dawn and dusk between them. They are in descending order and every thousand as well as hundred years are diminished by 1. Shri Rama was born in the last one-third part of Treta Yuga and Shri Krishna attained nirvana at the end of Dvapara Yuga.

In Numerology, number 887 is known as Angel Number which predicts abundance of wealth and prosperity. It indicates that, there is something important that’s going on in life which may not be known because so much is happening in life. God wants to clear every mind and asks to be open to the Divine message so that one can get Divine guidance about life.

The duration of subtler and human beings will be 12,000,000 years wherein thousand years are equivalent to 1 year on earth. Accordingly, life will be of 12,000 lunar years / 11,642 solar years, 6 months and 6 days / 42,52,399 days, which comprises of fourteen 887 years. The four yugas - Satya, Treta, Dvapara and Kali have dawn and dusk of 443 and 444 years (443 + 444 = 887) and the total main period will be nine 887 years in descending order (4 : 3 : 2 : 1).

Since yugas comprises of nine 887 years, multiply 887 by 9

887 x 9 = 7983 years

12,000 - 11,642 = 358 years

7983 - 358 = 7625 years

The main period of 7625 years is divided into four periods in descending order of 4 : 3 : 2 : 1

[100 + (4,3,2,1)] percent] = 104 / 100, 103 / 100, 102 / 100 and 101 / 100 = 1.04, 1.03, 1.02 and 1.01
Add 1.04, 1.03, 1.02 and 1.01, 1.04 + 1.03 + 1.02 + 1.01 = 4.1

Divide 7625 by 4.1, 7625 / 4.1 = 1859.75

Multiply 1859.75 by 1.04, 1.03, 1.02, 1.01

1859.75 x 1.04 = 1934
1859.75 x 1.03 = 1916
1859.75 x 1.02 = 1897
1859.75 x 1.01 = 1878

Since the yugas possess dawn and dusk, their duration will appear to reduce. Divide 8729 percent by 4.1 = 8729 / 100 x 1 / 4.1 = 21

1934 / 21 = 92, 1934 - 92 = 1842
1916 / 21 = 91, 1916 - 91 = 1825
1897 / 21 = 90, 1897 - 90 = 1807
1878 / 21 = 90, 1878 - 90 = 1790

The duration of dawn and dusk of Satya yuga was reduced by 92 years, Treta by 91 years, Dvapara by 90 years and Kali Yuga by 90 years. In other words, the duration of 45 years (90 / 2) of dawn of Kali Yuga was already reduced and the duration of dusk of 45 years are reducing these days.

The first three avatars Matsya, Kurma and Varaha existed between 8729 BCE and 5999 BCE during Satya yuga whereas the next four avatars - Narasimha, Vamana, Parshuram and Shri Rama in Treta yuga. Shri Rama was born in the last one-third period between 5999 BCE and 3305 BCE (2693/3 = 897, 5999 - 897 = 5102 BCE. The year 5114 BCE in which Shri Rama was born comes between 5999 BCE and 5102 which bears testimony with the facts mentioned in puranas. Secondly, Shri Krishna attained nirvana during the year 3102 BCE which is very close to the end of Dvapara yuga in the year 3305 BCE. The eighth avatar Goutam Buddha was born in Kali yuga and Maitreya will appear at the end of Kali yuga in the year 2028 CE.

APPEARANCE OF MAITREYA IN THE YEAR 2028

The year of appearance can be confirmed by considering the date of birth of dieties, age of prophethood at that time and duration between them.

As per the Institute of Scientific Research on vedas (I - SERVE) planetarium software has ascertained the birth of Shri Rama at 12:30 P.M on 10 January 5114 BCE. It is evident from Ameen Calendar that it was Friday.

The sum of 1 + 0 + 0 + 1 + 5 + 1 + 1 + 4 = 13, the sufferings endured by Shri Rama bears testimony to this number.

According to ‘Krishna Life Events and Dates;

Shri Krishna was born at midnight of 17/18 June 3229 BCE on Sravana Krishna Ashtami. Adding 3 leap days of the years 400, 800 and 1200 CE, the date of birth will be 20/21 June. According to Ameen Calendar, it was Tuesday / Wednesday. Since important events have taken place on Friday, Friday being auspicious and Shri Rama was born on the same day, the day of birth can be considered as before midnight of Friday 22 June (in lunar calendar, Friday starts from the evening of Thursday).

DATE OF BIRTH OF SHRI KRISHNA : 22 / 06 / 3229 BCE : FRIDAY

The sum of 2 + 2 + 0 + 6 + 3 + 2 + 2 + 9 = 26, 2 + 6 = 8, which is a divine number.

According to ‘Gautama Buddha - Wikimedia Commons’ the date of birth of Buddha was 8 April 624 BCE. Adding 3 leap days of 400, 800 and 1200 CE, the date of birth will be 11 April which was Friday as confirmed by Ameen Calendar.

DATE OF BIRTH OF BUDDHA : 11 / 04 / 624 BCE : FRIDAY

The sum of 1 + 1 + 0 + 4 + 6 + 2 + 4 = 18, 8 is a divine number.

The difference between duration of birds as well as Shri Rama and Shri Rama and Shri Krishna is found to be same.

5114 ( - 121* solar years / 125 lunar years) = 4993, 4993 - 3229 ( - 91** solar years / 94 lunar years) = 1673 years ( * period of enlightenment during the period of Atma and Jeeva, ** period of enlightenment during the period of Shri Rama)

Since the duration between birds as well as Shri Rama and Shri Rama and Shri Krishna was same, the duration between Shri Krishna as well as Buddha and Buddha as well as Maitreya must be same.

The duration between Shri Krishna and Buddha was;

22/06/3229 BCE - 11/04/624 BCE = 2604 years

The duration between Buddha and Maitreya must be same,

624 ( - 48* solar years / 50 lunar years) = 576 ( * period of enlightenment during the period of Shri Krishna), 576 + the year of Maitreya = 2604, Since 576 + 2028 = 2604, Maitreya may appear in the year 2028.

A P P E A R A N C E O F M A I T R E Y A I N T H E Y E A R 2 0 2 8

The day and date of appearance of last saviour can be found out from Kalki Purana. In chapter 1 verse 11, it is mentioned that, the Kalki will descend on earth on 12th day after the full moon in the month of Baisakhi. The Hindu Calendar is lunisolar as it follows both lunar and solar dates. The lunar months of the Indian Civil Calendar and their respective solar months and dates are;

The lunar months have either 29 or 30 days and year has either 353, 354, 355 or 356 days whereas solar months have either 28, 29, 30 or 31 days and year has either 365 or 366 days. As a result, there will be difference of either 9,10,11 or 12 days between lunar and solar year. In other words, after every three years, one month (adhika masa) gets added up in the fourth year (leap year) and the solar month as well as date of the third month (Jyaistha) shifts to the second month (Vaisakha). Since 2028 will be a leap year, Vaisakha or Baisakhi will start from May 22. The 12th day in the month of Baisakhi will be Friday 2nd June 2028 CE. Accordingly;

The birth of Shri Rama in the last one-third part of Treta yuga, attainment of Shri Krishna at the end of Dvapara yuga, diminishing of hundred and thousand years by 1, proportionate descending of duration of yugas, equivalence of duration among deities and the Angel Number 887 between the appearance of Maitreya and Doomsday, cannot be a coincidence but confirms the date of appearance.

Maitreya will appear on Friday 2 June 2028 CE and bring back the good old days and doomsday may take place on Friday 15 March 2915 CE. It is written in Mahabharata that, the last saviour will be from South India (Prince of South) which is a matter of pleasure and prestige to Indians and in particular South Indians.
